-Alexander Henry Fabrics
For those with a taste for the macabre, you'll love this splendidly gloomy collection from Alexander Henry fabrics. The Ghastlies are a dreadfully horrid bunch that will make you laugh in spite of their ominous glares.
The artistry of the collection recalls the works of renowned illustrator Edward Gorey, whose artwork you might remenber from childhood stories like The Gashlycrumb Tinies, Little Red Riding Hood, and Rumplestilskin, my personal favorite. Like the Ghastlies, his scenes always had a distinct mood that was both foreboding and oddly funny, a combination that's truly difficult to achieve.
If you're like me and are dying for an excuse to use this collection, here is a little inspiration from Knitzy Blonde.
I hope you've enjoyed meeting the Ghastlies - this collection is flying off our shelves so if you'll be wanting some for your Halloween projects you might want to snatch some up!
On behalf of the Ghastlies, cheers to a simply dreadful day!
