Summer Totem from Anna Maria Horner

Whilst sipping on coffee, coveting treasures in shops like the likes of Urban Outfitters for a little mindless diversion, I came across this fabulous Dressform that features the Summer Totem print from Anna Maria Horner's gorgeous Loulouthi collection.

I was reminded what an absolutely fabulous homage to Summer it really is. I decided to take a good look at some of the handmade pieces shared on our site that showcase this design and some of them really took my breath away.

Here is a dress from 1 Crown 3 Tiaras featuring Summer Totem in Grapefruit, and a sling from Serendipity Slings featuring Summer Totem in Strudel

And featuring Summer Totem in Tart, here is a dress from Babe a Go Go, and a Quilt from Noodlehead.

I've decided this print really needs to grace our couch with some new throw pillows - perhaps it will encourage summer to last just a little while longer...

Pat Bravo's Hyperreal Garden Escape

With an eye for passionate color, and a hand for exquisite design Patricia Bravo has just released Hyperreal Garden, the latest in her rich history of beatiful fabric collections for Art Gallery Fabrics. The line dazzles with its spellbinding color palettes and artisty that evokes a dreamlike escape from reality.

If you have not yet stumbled upon Pat Bravo's site, I highly recommend stopping by. In the Color your World section you'll find some of the real life inspirations behind her bold colors. Above are just a sampling, showing the found beauties that made their way into the designs. I'm awed to see such life and emotion captured into her artwork.

'Lotta Great Fabric Coming Our Way!

Many of you will recognize Lotta Jansdotter as one of the preeminent designers in today's wonderfully contemporary handmade movement. It is designers like Lotta, and her fellow Etsy crafters, bloggers, and authors that have helped to develop an interest in making and buying handmade.

With her celebrated books on sewing and print making, and her own hanmade pieces, she has cultivated a style that is at once simple yet sophisticated, beatiful yet practical.

Now for the super fantastic news. Lotta Jansdotter will debut her medium weight quilting and crafting collection with Windham Fabrics! Echo will be available in our shop early this November, and I personally can't wait!

Here is a peek of the line seen on Lotta's Blog, and below is a shot from Quilt Market last spring. Fans of her work will love the organic shapes and clean lines. The fabric will be great addition to both your home and your closet.

Garllery Fiori from Karen Tusinski

From the same Lilla Robers Studio that brought us the works of Carolyn Gavin, Helen Dardik, and Suze Ultman, P&B Textiles has translated the work of yet another great artists work into a beautiful fabric collection. Gallery Fiori from Karen Tusinski is a stunning group based on her oil paintings. The quality and layered textured look they have achieved is gorgeous. In fact, I think I might just be stretching a few of these beauties on some canvasas, a la this booth display from Quilt Market! We have the collection available in full, both in yardage and Fat Quarter Bundles. Enjoy!
