Here are my latest picks folks, Washi meets Fly a Kite. The centerpiece is a beautiful new fabric from Riley Blake and is a bit of an homage to the cathedral window design that has taken the sewing world by storm. I'm a big fan of cheater patchwork designs, but a cheater cathedral is a new one I think! Sewing, and creating any form of art, is such a window to the soul. Here is a little peek into the souls of some very talented seamstresses!

After getting lost swimming around in the Flickr pools I had to come up for air and track down some tutorials as I've definitely caught the bug. Luckily I stumbled across some amazing one that almost make this origami meets sewing endeavor look easy! If you're like me and not yet tried this one out here is a little list to get you started!
I'll leave you with an amazing vintage flea market find from Big A, little a. She is guessing it's from the 60's - anyone recognize the fabric?!
