Patty Sloniger's Quilt Market Booth |

We've just received another stunner from this Fall's Quilt Market! In color and in form, Les Amis from Patty Sloniger for Michael Miller Fabrics exemplifies perfection in whimsical graphic design. A forest gathering occurs from Dusk till Dawn, in two beautiful color stories for boys and girls. From foxes, to owls, songbirds, deer and turtles, all of your woodland friends are here! |
With a treasure trove of beautiful fabric collections in her wake, I've begun to think that Amy Butler could turn water into wine, for she truly has the artistic equivalence of the midas touch - it seems everything she touches turns to gold. So its only fitting that Amy, the alchemist, should put forth with aptly titled Alchemy line. She designed it "around the idea of transformation, and infusing elements of nature with exciting color and vivid graphic stories"....achieving "a lovely chemistry of print, color, and texture." Indeed, she has once again turned classic motifs and colors and turned them into gold.
Thus far we've received the Quilting Cotton and the Voile Cotton substrates. We also have Fat Quarter Bundles and Charm packs! |
A clear standout at Fall's Quilt Market for me was this new Timber & Leaf line from Sarah Watts for Blend Fabrics. Composed of hand drawn florals and animals in a lovely palette of aqua, coral, gold, taupe, and gray, the line is a beautiful tribute to rustic modern. Love it! |
Type from renowned illustrator Julia Rothman is composed of a playful mix of vintage typewriters, tossed paper clips, typewriter keys and notepads. So put your thinking cap on, grab a pencil and paper, and whip up the perfect project for your home or office! |
Cruzin' from Barbara Jones of Quilt Soup fame will have you longing for lazy days filled with bike rides and picnics, with a quilt like the one above ready to go in the basket of your bicycle cruiser. Head over here for the free Project Download! We've split the collection into two color stories, one with bright pops of red and green and rather nice for Christmas, and the other features a modern color palette of teal, gray, and mustard. |
Here's Gabbie! This playful, preppy, high-spirited collection from Maude Asbury for Blend Fabrics makes sewing fun. The line features bursting blossoms and graphic letterpress prints with Scandinavian flare, brought to you in a kaleidoscope of colors that are sure to please. Head over here for the free quilt project download! |
As Otis Redding sings, this new seaside line makes me wish I was "sittin' on the dock of the bay, watching the tide roll away". Jane Dixon's High Tide collection for Andover fabrics features rolling waves, beautiful coral, sea stars, and sea urchin in a lovely aqua, teal, marine, and sand palette. |
Just look at these 'staches we found here and here in our stash! |

Wow, so many droolworthies! I love the Les amis, in Dusk, the Timber and Leaf, and I appreciate being able to really see the colors in AMH's line. I had heard the yellow was more gold, and now I can see it!
