It seems I've fallen victim to sunny skies and the welcome distractions of a routineless summer with school aged children afoot. I owe you all some new picks for our home page gallery! It's easy to languish in the heat and humidty here in the northeast, but I'm looking forward to be getting back to our regularly scheduled programming. Every Tuesday, my new picks will "drop" here on our blog - perhaps my fellow music fans out there will appreciate the correlation. Before we push play on the new picks, I'd like to take a moment to remember the fabrics we've had on repeat, as it were.
Gray, mustard, and pink is such a warm and welcoming palette for summer, I think that's why I've been a bit lazy about taking down the gallery. We also received more reponses than ever from customers who came up with projects using many or all of these picks. In fact, here's a beautiful piece above quilted by Erica Kracht!
I've just realized that apparently I loved this palette so much, I even decorated our shop breakroom in these colors! Those cabinets were a fun way to add some pops of color to the room. I picked these white cabinets up and grabbed my trusty staple gun, and we had some colorful yet discreet place to store our coffee here at Hawthorne Threads.
For my next picks, I began with Leah Duncan's new Tule collection for Art Gallery. With fall looming on the horizon, it seemed like the perfect choice. I paired these with some Loulouthi from Anna Maria Horner, and a dash of Joel Dewberry's Modern Meadow.Pinterest board for the sources of these beautiful finds, and look for our new picks next Tuesday!
