The girls in the shop and I have been fawning over these little "deers" in their darling dresses, and we suspect you'll not be able to resist that reflexive "awe" after looking at these gorgeous photos. We had a lot of fun sewing up a number of items using our new Autumn Fawn fabric collection - see them here! - but the fun never truly begins until we see what other makers are inspired to sew with our In House designs. And boy were we blown away by the amazing pieces from Little Lizard King and My Sweet Sunshine!
First up we have a duo from Little Lizard King and we are so honored that our fabrics are featured along with the debut of their brand new pattern. The Woodland Belle Tunic and Dress is available as of today in fact! Each version of the piece features a v-shaped neckline for an easy pull-on style.
We just adore the fabric pairing of our Mountain Stripe in Shell along with the similarly colored Autumn Fawn Border fabric.
The tonal bodice and skirt really sets off our forest of golden leafed oak trees, and grazing fawns.
Equally spectacular is the tunic version of the Woodland Belle.
The Bodice features our Indian Corn in Harvest; with it's palette of shell pink, golden canyon, stone and taupe, this one echoes the rustling of leaves under an autumnal sun. The Stag Forest for the skirted bottom makes this tunic a statement piece with just enough subtlety and restraint, a difficult look to pull off!
The added boho fringe and high low hem complements the earthy vibe of the fabrics just perfectly.
We could go on and on about this top but sometimes a picture is worth a thousand words...
Next up, My Sweet Sunshine has sewn up a beautiful Violette Fields Threads Pepper Dress in our Forest Glade in Harvest. The tossed painterly florals and modern arrow motifs make this one whimsical but with enough elegance for older girls, a look befitting of this vintage style dress that will stand the test of time, season after season.
We just love the choice of the Forget Me Not fabric for the Peter Pan collar. The olive color really heightens the grown up look for this blooming beauty!
We hope you try some of these looks, and be sure to tag your projects with #AutumnFawnFabric and #HawthorneThreads so we can share on social media!
