Where do I find inspiration? From our lovely readers and customers! I had such a blast reading through the thoughtful responses from our customers that I was inspired to brighten up our kitchen with some new curtains. I chose Hello Roses in Dove from Heather Bailey's Nicey Jane collection, paired with Happy Dots in Ice from Amy Butler's Midwest Modern line.
Curtains are probably the easiest way to brighten up a room, achieving a fresh new look in no time. Each panel required a single yard, and each of the four border strips were 1/4 yard, so 3 yards in total did the trick.
Then it's just a matter of attaching the panels to the top and bottom, sewing up the sides of the panels, followed by turning in the borders.
One winner of our Joel Dewberry book giveaway wrote that she loves color and how it makes a room move and a soul lighten. That was certainly the case when I walked into my kitchen this morning - even before I had my first cup of coffee :)
