Have you all met Jeni Baker yet? If not, please allow me to introduce you! She pens the delightful blog In Color Order, keeping us up to date on all her latest sewing, quilting, and thrifting adventures. As a teacher at the upcoming Sewing Summit in SLC, she's decided to Travel Handmade in style. Jeni has a beautiful eye for selecting fabric, and even shares about the art of choosing here on her blog.
Settling on a design from Pat Bravo's new Indie line that fuses femininity and funk, Jeni whipped up a beautiful dress for the summit.
She opted for this beautiful Washi Dress Pattern from Made by Rae. Available as a 36-page digital eBook including pattern and instructions, this dress has some really lovely variations. After seeing all of these beauties, I'm itching to try my hand at one too!
To round out this handmade outfit, Jeni selected a nice assortment of fabrics from that same Indie collection and made a beautiful clutch. I love the log cabin design!
Makes me wish I was headed to Sewing Summit for her class! Maybe next year...
I hope you've enjoyed meeting the face behind the blog. Soon, you'll come to know and love her as a fabric designer as well, for she'll be releasing her first collection with Art Gallery Fabrics!
Color Me Retro is due out this February - sign up in our Coming Soon section if you'd like to know as soon as this happy collection arrives on our doorstep!
