In our final installment of Quilt Market sneak peeks from Michael Miller, here's a look at Tamara Kate's glowing market booth where she debuted two new collections!
First up we can look forward to Quiet Time, a fanciful line for all who love a good fairy tale. One focal design in the collection features little girls reading books in trees, likely the Princess and the Pea as that is the other leading print!
As much of my own childhood was spent playing on a perch of some shaded limb, Tamara pulls on my heart strings a little with this collection. Here I am with my older sister and, a few years later, reading in my favorite spot in the climbing tree at my Mom's house.
Not only is this line sweetly sentimental, but it also encourages a love for stories and a love for reading as part of life. It reminds us to let our children slow down and allow for Quiet Time. I'm looking forward to some quiet sewing time with my daughter. The little girls reading in the treetops would make for great pj's, or perhaps some new bedroom decor!
Next up we have Helen's Garden, a lovely tribute to Tamara's mom and her wonderful green thumb. Tamara writes that her mom Helen "keeps, and has always kept, a beautiful, inspiring garden. There is occasionally order within, but generally colour and scent abound. Her current garden includes a range of lovely blooms, as well as a forested area that wanders down to the ocean, wherein one can find berries, mushrooms, fiddleheads and other treasures. This collection is a little nod to what she has taught me."
As you can see, these two collections compliment each other nicely and one can easily mix and match the two. For more on the pieces in Tamara's booth, head over to her blog. Look for Helen's Garden in December and Quiet Time in January, and be sure to sign up in our shop to receive notice as soon as these sweet collections arrive!
