Have you explored the Nordic timberland of Norwegian Wood? Our in in house fabric line recently led one talented sewist down the woodland path to creative inspiration and we're delighted to share her work with you! Our friend Lydia over at at Telafante created this beautiful floor cushion, incorporating nearly the whole collection into her design.
Complete with a quilted top and zippered closure we're loving her perfectly polished pillow. But don't let that fool you; the design is a great beginner to intermediate level project as well. Composed of 4 twelve inch blocks of three inch strips, the pillow comes together easily in an afternoon. If any of the techniques are new to you, Lydia also offers a step by step tutorial from assembly to zipper, sew to speak.
Here are your materials to get started. You'll notice that the design is Fat Quarter friendly!
We hope you'll try out this great project from Telafante! Head over here for the full tutorial!
If you share pics in the comments below, or tag with #NorwegianWoodFabric on social media, we'll be sure to share them with your fellow makers. Happy Sewing!
