Last week I featured some inspiration for the Dawn Palette, and I'm delighted to highlight the Dusk Palette of our Roam fabric collection today. Once again my collage pairs some of our fabrics together with some handmade pieces, and some beautiful imagery of our country's wide open spaces. As an homage to where the painted plains meet a big western sky at sunset, this color story features golden yellow, pale pink, elderberry, sage, and stone. Creating a pattern collection is all about creating a story through design, and I'm in love with the visual narrative of Roam, our newest in house fabric line. Here's a bit of inspiration behind the Dawn color palette, full of morning light in Big Sky country. I adore the watercolor design as it captures the essence wide open plains at daybreak. The denim blues are timeless, eternally bound to this land as the iconic buffalo itself.  Wherever you Roam, we hope you'll enjoy telling your own story with these new fabrics!

Lindsay's Bewitching Picks for Halloween

Are you in the mood to be Bewitched? As you can likely tell, I had such fun putting together this inspiration board for our Halloween themed collection, almost as much fun, in fact, as designing the collection itself. Throughout the process, I kept coming back to the classic Gothic novel that can evoke malevolence and romance in equal measure. From Mary Shelley's Frankenstein to Daphne De Maurier's Rebecca, this great genre creates atmosphere and mood like no other type of fiction. Filled with creaking staircases in ivy clad castles that are dripping with spiders, sinister swarms of winged creatures, and surrounded by overgrown graveyards, these stories play with all of our senses. A Gothic tale tells of a melancholic love story, more than a few ghosts, and curses upon heirs. It's a story that plays out in our Bewitched fabric collection. From the aviary, to the eternal gardens, the many chandeliers, and the library, we hope this collection leaves you spellbound and utterly inspired to create something magical this Halloween. The witching our nears, but there's still time to sew!

Lindsay's Picks - Calyso in Poseidon

I'm glad so many of you enjoyed my Calypso themed inspiration collage for the Aegean palette! I had so much fun putting it together I've composed one for the Poseidon color story as well. Featuring classic Greek blues, nectar orange, and silvery gray, this palette recalls images of a rocky shore at sunrise.
