Lindsay's Picks - Be-leaf me, you'll Fall for Sewing this Season!

For this year's fall fabric picks I wanted to create a palette that was heartwarming yet modern and I think this mood board does just that. Fall is for cozying up under a new quilt, good book in hand, and a pumpkin spice beverage sitting atop a freshly sewn mug rug at your side.  Summer adventures are fun, but it's always a welcome change to retreat indoors with the ones you love, and the hobbies that could turn anyone into a homebody. I really enjoy putting together these mood boards post fabric collection release. It's a wonder I don't do it before finishing the collection as it would likely help me focus during the design process itself! In recent weeks I've had the chance to see both The Beatles Cirque du Soleil show as well as Ron Howard's new documentary 8 Days a Week - the Touring Years and, since then, I've happily caught my mind drifting from one lyric to another. Many of you have likely already picked up on my lifelong love for the Beatles, and I was certainly thinking a lot about the similarly titled song while designing our Blackbird fabric collection. I approached the meaning and the fabric designs from a mother's perspective; we tend to our children like birds in a nest, or flowers in a garden. But of course, the song has social implications as well, with as much relevance today as when it was written. Hope this board touches your heart and sets your inspiration alight - wishing you all peace and love.

When it comes to ways of incorporating the heavens into your decor and wardrobe, the sky is the limit, sew to speak. Lindsay's Picks - Mojave Mood Board

Once again I've put together another mood board, this time inspired by our new Mojave collection and I can almost feel the desert sun on my face. I love that at first glance the pebble strewn mountains and canyons seem like a barren wasteland, void of any life or color to speak of. But a careful eye can spot the subtle colors reflected in the sands. Sparkling shades of pink, green, blue, green and gold change with each new angle of light the hour brings. And if you take the time to be still, the land comes alive with flora and fauna that manages to eek out an existence in this painted landscape. If you've not had a chance to visit the southwest, then sewing with our new range of fabrics is the next best thing. Lindsay's Picks - Riviera in Mediterranean

I've got the moody blues today, and I couldn't be happier about it. Here's a pretty collage for our new Riviera collection in the Mediterranean palette. With all the glitz and glamour the French coastline has to offer, the crystal blue waters and inviting horizon is still its shining feature. With this palette, I endeavored to capture the vista of blues and greens that greets your gaze out where the sea meets the sky.
